Well, this has been an interesting offseason to say the least. First, the suspended players were allowed to play in the 2011 Sugar Bowl by the NCAA, a cover-up by the Sweater Vest, more negative publicity involving car transactions perhaps made illegally, Luke Fickell elevated to interim Head Coach while JT serves a 5 game suspension, Terrelle Pryor's immaturity, JT being asked to resign and Luke Fickell elevated as the 23rd Head Coach in OSU history.

I like to think of OSU as the NY Yankees of College Football. You either love OSU or you hate OSU...there is no in between and I like it that way.

A little bio on Luke Fickell: 
He will be 38 on August 18th.
He graduated from DeSales High School in Columbus.
He was a state wrestling champion.
He redshirted in 1992 and then went on to start 50 consecutive games for OSU from 1993-1996.

As the B1G evolves into a 12 team conference, the odds are not good for OSU to win the conference championship in Indianapolis. I believe the level of competition is better then years past. I also believe that OSU has way too many holes to plug in to develop a solid continuity in a short amount of time (plus perhaps added sanctions after an August 12th meeting with the NCAA).

My prediction on who will play in Indianapolis for the B1G Championship: Nebraska vs Wisconsin.

I'm still excited about a new season kicking off in a month. We all need something positive to look forward to and Coach Fickell and his staff will provide that for us starting 9/3 vs the Akron Zips.
