PREDICTING PERFECTION IN 2010

13-0.  Let's get it out of the way right up front.  The "homers" at Bucknuts have convinced me that this is our year.  The Rose Bowl was indeed an indicator that TP#2 is ready to break out and the Vest plans on allowing his Ferrari to lap the field.  Yes, undefeated.  Take it to the bank.  I'm predicting it now; a 12-0 regular season followed by a BCS Championship game victory over the Hokies of Virginia Tech.  Sorry SEC, but if I'm going to dream this big you are simply not in the mix.

While I have my crystal ball out, here are a few more prognostications for your consideration:

Games that will be easier to win than you think:

  • Miami - their young offensive line just won't be ready for the Shoe.  No way Seantrel Henderson outplays Cam Heyward.  No way.
  • Penn State - Joe Pa looked a bit out of sorts at Big Ten media days.  I don't think this trip to C'bus will help him out much.

Games that will be harder to win than you think:

  • At Wisky - a good offensive line and a great running back spell trouble for the Buckeyes in this night game if we don' get the lead early.
  • _ichigan - they will have nothing to lose in Rich Rod's final game as head coach of TSUN.  Remember Earle Bruce's finale in Ann Arbor?

Offensive surprise:

  • Jake Stoneburner - this promising tight end will be the best thing for our offense since Ben Hartsock.

Defensive surprise:

  • Jermale Hines - the Glenville product is a hard hitter ready to make some noise as a senior.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Dan McGuinness again this year.  The many victories, and even occasional losses, are better when surrounded by Buckeye faithful.

GO BUCKS!  YEA OHIO!
