The 2010 Buckeyes are favored (by most experts) to go 12-0
and head to Glendale
to play for the National Championship. As much as I like to believe that, I
have to quote Lee Corso with a "Not so fast my
friend" quote. The "U" will visit the Horseshoe on 9/11/10 and
will give OSU all they can handle. Jacory Harris is
one of the finer QB's in the nation. If OSU has
another sluggish game much like they did vs
USC last year, Miami
can leave Ohio Stadium with a "W".
The Buckeyes travel to Wisconsin
on 10/16/10. The Badgers, coming off a huge bowl win over the "U",
are led by QB Scott Tolzien and RB John Clay. Tolzien has his moments and Clay is a beast who can run
over you just like a fellow Badger RB back in the day, in Heisman Trophy winner
Ron Dayne. Clay is the reigning Big Ten Offensive
POY. He has 6 straight 100 yard rushing games coming into 2010.
The game that worries me the most is the Iowa
game in Iowa City
on 11/20/10. Had Ricky Stanzi not injured his
ankle the week before against the "Purple Kitties," the Hawkeyes
WOULD'VE beaten the Buckeyes and made the trip to Pasadena. Although "Herky"
and the bunch were like a cat with nine lives with all of the close wins, they
were ready to play OSU with backup James Vandenberg at the helm.
If OSU can get past these 3 roadblocks and play up to the other 9 mediocre
opponents, then call your travel agent because the Buckeyes will be headed to
the desert to play for all of the Tostitos on 1/10/11.
A couple of young guys who I expect to contribute major minutes this year
are CJ Barnett, Chris Fields and Corey "Philly" Brown.
GO BUCKS!!!
