MID-SEASON MUSINGS

The 2009 edition of The Ohio State football Buckeyes is off to a pretty good start overall.  Take back that 3 yard opening TD drive we gave to U$C and we're unbeaten.  Of course, we also know the old saying "If a frog had wings....".

Here are some "things I think I think" about the season so far:

·                     Our defensive front is good; very good

·                     Dan McGuinness Pub is great for watching games - nice menu, plenty of space and cold brewskies

·                     If we wanted to make Terrelle Pryor a classic passing QB, we should have hired Walt Harris when we had the chance

·                     Our defense overall is good; very good

·                     Duron Carter is going to be a great wide receiver for the scarlet and gray

·                     Our inconsistent place kicking may cost us a game down the stretch (I hope I'm wrong here!)

·                     Those new Memphis Buckeye t-shirts are great - well worth the money to proudly wear one

·                     Since we didn't hire Walt Harris, let Pryor be Pryor and sit back and enjoy the show

·                     We've had a Brandon Saine sighting and he's really pretty good

·                     For all those Tressel bashers out there, who would you replace him with?

·                     _ichigan is overrated

·                     The Big Ten is not very good again this year

·                     Dotting the "i" in the incomparable Script Ohio is still the finest moment in all of college football

·                     Mark May is starting to sound a lot like Trev Alberts

·                     With all these underclassmen playing major minutes, we will be very very good next year

·                     Where is Trev Alberts these days?

·                     Another BCS bowl game is within reach

Stay tuned.  A young team like this is bound to give us some heartburn coming down the stretch this season.  I'll bet they give opponents some as well!

Go Bucks!  Yea Ohio!
