I guess the Outback Steakhouse blimp that hovered around the ‘Shoe Saturday turned out to be an omen for the Buckeyes. Give Ron Zook all the credit for drawing up a masterpiece of a game plan. 400 total yards of offense (260 rush, 140 pass) was enough to say bye bye to New Orleans. I guess the replay officials didn't felt the need to set up their equipment on those 2 "sure" fumbles the Illini "lost". Also, the officials down on the field were too blind to call any holding calls yesterday (Illinois had ONE penalty for 10 yards on a hold). Thanks to the 43 people who showed up and for donating $118 toward the scholarship fund. John Crossmock and Paul Malanga have worked extremely well on the raffles all year and are to be applauded for their efforts. I expect record numbers this Saturday for our generosity and the prizes that I know about, you'll be amazed. We saved our best prizes for last. We need your support for the finale. I promise you'll not be disappointed. For those of you who stayed to sing "Carmen Ohio" afterwards, thanks. If the Sweater Vest and his team can sing it after a loss, so can we. Win as a team, lose as a team. Win as a club, lose as a club.

Luckybuck's Helmet Sticker Player of the Game: Chris"Beanie" Wells: 20 rush, 76 yards and 2TD.

Whether you refer to our next opponent as That School Up North, Meat Chicken, _ichigan, or whatever colorful name you might come up with, that's the roadblock standing between Pasadena and Tampa. As a Buckeye fan, you now have a week to think about the great wins as well as the bitter defeats in the series. You also can think about the players who became legends by playing in this epic battle.

Here are my top 3 All-Time Favorite TSUN victories:

3) November 21, 1987: OSU 23 TSUN 20: On the Monday before the game, Coach Earle Bruce was fired by OSU President Edward Jennings. Jennings, who told AD Rick Bay to fire Bruce, refused and resigned on the spot. The players wore headbands with the name of "EARLE" written in Scarlet. Bruce would conclude his stay with OSU with a 5-4 mark against TSUN.

2) November 24, 2001: OSU 26 TSUN 20: Jim Tressel, who had told the crowd at halftime of a Bball game that "you'll be proud of our guys in the classroom, in the community and most especially, in 310 days on the football field in Ann Arbor, Michigan", backed up his speech by upsetting the highly favored Wolverines in the "Big House". Jonathan Wells had a fantastic day by rushing for 3 TD'S including a 46 yard TD on fourth and 1 in the second quarter.

1) November 18, 2006: OSU 42 TSUN 39 "The Game of the Century" lived up to all of the hype. For the first time in the series, both teams came in ranked #1 and #2 for a shot at the BCS Championship. QB Troy Smith left as a Buckeye Legend by defeating TSUN for a 3rd straight year. It's one of those games that you'll remember forever.

The theme this week is to "Cash in on the Wolverines". It's pretty simple: Show your love by giving lots of green to benefit our adopted school which is Westside Elementary. Also, bring plenty of green as you'll have opportunities to win some fantastic prizes. There have been some wonderful prizes already donated and have been purchased for this game. TSUN is the home team this year and we'll provide the cake for both sides to enjoy. The traveling trophy is up for grabs and I'd like for Jeff Reeb to take it back to his car Saturday afternoon if the Buckeyes can beat TSUN for the fourth consecutive year. Hope to see everyone bright and early Saturday.

GO BUCKS!!! BEAT BLUE!!!
