After a lengthy off-season that left a sour taste
in our mouths, the 2007 OSU Football season is less than a week away. Instead
of going through a lengthy discussion of what happened, I'm going to give you
some info (as well as predictions) on what might happen to the Buckeyes for
2007.
DE Vernon Gholston will be a household name to
all of Buckeye Nation by seasons end when he receives 1st Team All-American
honors.
LB James Laurinaitis will win the Lombardi Award
as the nation's top interior lineman.
RB Chris "Beanie" Wells will rush for
1500+ yds.
CB Malcolm Jenkins will play like a true NFL
prospect and will declare early for the NFL Draft.
SS Kurt Coleman will win a Jack Tatum hit of the
Week Award this year.
FB Dionte Johnson will FINALLY touch the ball on
a handoff.
Now, these are some off the wall predictions.
But, if you've known me long enough, you'd know that I made the craziest off
all predictions when I said OSU would win the 2002 National Championship before
the season started.
Here is how I feel (at this moment) on how our
season shapes up:
YSU:W
Northwestern:W
You can easily read the first letter of each
teams name and see what it spells. Back to the season predictions.
Purdue:W
TSUN:L (Unless this team shows me something from
top to bottom, we'll get hammered).
So there you have it, a little something for you
to digest until the opening kickoff on Saturday, 9/1/07 @ Gills. Kickoff is
11:00am. Come join us for some fun at the Penguin's expense. We'll refer to
this week as "Breakfast with the Buckeyes".
